Our Core Values

Our Executive Team

Our team at Divergent intentionally comes from diverse environments. Equipped with unique experiences for your business needs, we work to overcome the financial and Salesforce maintenance hurdles every company encounters in these uncertain times.

CEO - Scott Peterson

Scott is an accomplished entrepreneur. Divergent is his third tech company, second inside the Salesforce ecosystem. As a co-founder of Outbox Systems (now Simplus) and PcCareSupport, he helped build successful companies reaching Inc. 500 and eventual acquisitions. He believes in being an authentic servant leader and finds most joy in helping others’ careers grow.

Scott enjoys watching and critiquing movies, cheering for sports, and following the Cubs and Bears. Scott recently returned to playing competitive chess 2 years ago and is enjoying the challenge of the game! In his youth, he was a 6-time Arizona State Champion and National Champion.

Advisory Board Member - Brian Peterson

Brian’s expertise lies in serving as a trusted advisor for CFO’s and other senior level executives. He has led various corporate cash management functions as a practitioner, consultant, and board member. Brian has actively participated in more than twenty start-up, acquisition, and divestiture transactions.

Brian earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ASU’s W.P. Carey of Business School with an emphasis in mergers and acquisitions. He holds the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation and remains active in the community, most recently serving as Board Treasurer for Arizona’s Chapter of Association for Financial Professionals. Brian is an adjunct faculty member at Grand Canyon University and enjoys traveling with his wife and kids.

COO - Jeff Karlsson

With his diverse background Jeff enjoys helping clients achieve operational excellence. He brings the same level of expertise as COO to Divergent. Jeff is an experienced Salesforce Architect, Consultant and Developer with over 10 certifications, hundreds of badges on Trailhead, and a Salesforce SME.

Jeff thinks globally. He received his Global Master of Business Administration (Global MBA) from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and holds dual citizenship in the United States and the European Union (Sweden). Jeff loves to travel the world, study a variety of languages, and play games with his family.

CCO - Stephanie Carlisle

Stephanie engages with clients to optimize our partnerships; her passions are organization and details. She studied at Brigham Young University, and has six years experience in planning, leading, and running a non-profit youth camp for 150 participants. She understands success comes down to the little details others might miss and revels in the challenge of smooth operations. Her experience and Salesforce certifications give her the advantage of seeing difficulties ahead and finding the right path forward before it becomes problematic. Stephanie assures our Divergent team works seamlessly with our clients.

Stephanie enjoys any sport she can cheer for, but truly enjoys watching the Chicago Cubs play at Wrigley Field during a sunshine filled afternoon. Growing up in the military instilled a love of travel and culture in Stephanie, but hiking, especially with her husband and four children, brings her the most joy. Hiking Appalachian Trail is her goal.

Director of Divergent Academy - Becky Peterson

Becky has a Bachelor of History Teaching from Brigham Young University. She trained to be a middle school social studies teacher and is passionate about mentoring students of all ages. She continues that drive with her current responsibilities in our Divergent Academy. She finds joy in her students’ success especially through the difficulties of learning new things. Becky collaborates with students to assist them through the process of getting Salesforce certifications. She is an experienced Salesforce administrator and platform app builder, and leans on that experience to mentor students through the entire process.

Becky craves travel and loves sharing that with her husband and two boys. They love discovering new foods, waterfalls, and making new friends along the way. If she can squeeze in a little history learning into their travels, she considers that a win.
